The Hourglass District is located where South Bumby Avenue and Curry Ford Road intersect. It is adjacent to other up-and-coming neighborhoods such as Curry Ford West and Lake Como. This community has been redeveloped and rebranded in recent years. A more contemporary appeal was added, bringing the neighborhood from underutilized to vibrant. It’s filled with great local merchants and restaurants within walkable distance.

Try Some Local Brews at Hourglass Brewing

Are you a fan of craft beer? Then you’ll love Hourglass Brewing, an award-winning, family-owned craft brewery. They always have over 40 beers on tap to try and release a new beer almost every week. They also hold fun events like weekly trivia and morning yoga.

Shop Quality Leather Goods at Freehand

In the same plaza as the Hourglass Social House, you’ll find Freehand Goods. The shop specializes in handmade leather goods. The owners wanted to create the highest quality wallets at an affordable price made locally in Orlando. Their leather goods are hand-cut, dyed, and sewn one at a time.

In the same building as Foxtail, Hourglass Social House, you’ll find a delicious vegan eatery called Legumati. It is known for its innovative vegan cuisine. They have a variety of crunch wraps available tasty enough to even impress non-vegans.

Tamale Co.

Also located inside the Hourglass Social House, you’ll be able to feast on gourmet Mexican food. Enjoy freshly prepared tamales, eloté (Mexican street corn), and other delectable dishes. They even have delicious breakfast options as well.

Le Ky Pattisserie

On your visit to the Hourglass Social house, make sure you save room for dessert. You’ll have to stop by Le Ky Patisserie to savor some treats from this family-owned bakery. Along with pastries and cakes, they also serve freshly baked bread and Vietnamese cuisine.

For delicious Italian food, check out F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen. This local, family-friendly spot offers woodfired pizza and other Italian dishes. They also have great vegan options available.

Coming Soon

The latest development project in the Hourglass District is an urban-inspired apartment complex. They will provide spacious living spaces that support a work-from-home lifestyle. The building will also include 10,000 square feet of retail space.
